SINGER TALKS 10.30.05

So this was a crazy week....

10 year Bond has broken out to the upside above 4.55%
and we had a big rally on Friday ..
The GDP number came in @ 3.8%, however,
with the amount of actual inflation out there growth is not that good..

Both GTRC and ITT were down 10 dollars on poor earnings reports...
URBN failed its high @ 31.70 and dropped to 26.50..HOLLA

They fell apart as the charts had suggested...
Even though the rally would have you believe things are OK
they certainly don't feel that way..

Let's see how this thing plays out..
By the way, GGP reports earnings on MONDAY..
I'm still in the bear camp..

I'm reading two geat books that are foundational and have been enlightening..
Another was a quick entertainment read but still informative nonetheless..

The piece describes the hot money that went into OIL and GOLD...ran up the prices to $70 a barrel crude and $480 an oz gold and then blew out of the positions when that scenario didn't materialize...Now these groups have pulled back significantly ...and the weak holders have sold off..

I agree with Jim..The next months will see a nice move from these temporarily hated stocks....

I interned briefly this summer at the Nassau County DA's office..As a courtesy to engender nostalgia for the office in prospective young lawyers we were furnished with this nice keepsake..

I was the last one on line and to my suprise the DA said,"So, are you going to practice LAW when you graduate?" I replied with a smile, "I'm going to get into Invesments."

"You'll donate to my next re-election campaign," quipped the seven term DA..

Here's a four year daily of POOL... I used a 200 day Bollinger and low and behold this one has been south of the middle 200 day line and has only been at the bottom trading band once on the entire chart...The price seems to be sticking to the 200 day here and appears to want to go through and not pop higher as it has done previously, bouncing off that line for a nice gain... I'm holding some OCT 35 Puts... The risk reward looks excellent for more downside... The questions are will it happen soon enough?? Will the pullback in Energy help chemical companies?? Though I'm not sure if this pool chemical company is levered to energy considering it has gone up while energy prices have gone continuously HIGHER...
