What is this a chart of? The Yen is trading at $1 = 89.14 Yen or 1 Yen = 0.01124 Dollars... So is this chart just multiplying the value of the Yen by 10,000 in order to get non-decimal values?
Market convention in usually quoting # of Yen per dollar, so the chart would be inverted.

Stockcharts.com doesn't have traditional FOREX charts... I believe your thesis re: x 10,000 is correct...
